ungefugHello, thanks for writing for me and a disclaimer up ahead, everything except the dnws is a kind suggestion. Do as you please, really, go nuts. I don't care how weird it gets, I welcome it. And I'm always happier if you write something you're comfortable with.
In case there is a discrepancy between what I write here and the actual sign up, I probably forgot to adapt one or the other, therefore feel free to write according whichever suits you better.
If you write reader fic I am not fond of Y/N or anything too vague. I prefer "Readerfic" as 2nd POV OCs. Please just tell me who I am, doesn't matter if that's a Moroccan woman or a French man or whatever you want it to be.
For ships I usually opted into all sorts of threesomes and multi but I have no special affection towards polygamy or love triangles.
Don't stress too much about the underage thing. I tried to adjust opt-outs according to whether there are canon characters of dubious age (~16) that I consider shippable. Generally I don't care about a couple years below the line as long as it's not some "oh, so innocent and physically underdeveloped" kink.

Sorry if I'm sending conflicting messages, these are the things that come into my mind and then there is all the other things I'm still happy to read like Otto helping him through his detox (nicely, kindly or with a helping of kink), like something genuine and gentle between him and McKendrick.
Mentions of underage in passing/backstory are perfectly fine, also mentions of the situation with the boy aboard the ship.
I don't mind mentions of OCs either, just not as the main ship. Like Sumner talking to McKendrick about how he got sexually assaulted in the army would be fine (even without anything else happening between McKendrick and him).
There is a lot to draw from in the show and in the fandom when it comes to nasty little things, weird flirting over whale carcasses, totally normal not gay stabbing, drowning aftercare, medical care for men that want you dead, all things drug, impotence, machismo. I love all the bad vibes, I love that he tries to be good but also doesn't try too hard, that he's a bit prissy and odd aboard. Sometimes it's okay to just lie back and think of Ireland. Like him as a bit of a pain slut, I have no specific headcanon regarding whether he's gay or it's situational. Also I am not set on bottom Sumner or anything silly like that.

Not a huge fan of the entire film (specific issues...), but I love Fabio, fun guy, looks like he knows how to have a good time (all those leashes and collars, hello). Love how fucking nasty he looks later in his David Bowie phase and all the gender fuckery he engages in and the absolute confidence while still being kind of pathetic. Also check out his Buffalo Bill tattoos.

If you don't know this guy he's the emperor also know for calling himself empress and enjoying to be sodomized by big lads when being a receiver was a big no-no. Also known for throwing parties where he drowned people in roses or threw snakes at them. He introduced Rome to his Syrian blood and sun cult, which is where some of his gender fuckery and general issues comes from.
There is probably a lot of slander about him (called the worst emperor entirely for his personal drama rather than... policies and warmongering...), I don't care if you go with the big drama or something more real.
I don't want to read anything super introspective about gender and identity that borders on issuefic.
I'm okay with incestuous angles and exploration of his youth.
You could write about his mantoys, the charioteer Hierocles ("Elagabalus was said to have been captivated by the blond and youthful Hierocles when the athlete fell in front of him during a chariot race." - OK CUTE), Aurelius Zoticus (there was drama there with Hierocles), any other real or OC Romans from the short period of his rule, his eunuch tutor Gannys.

I thoroughly enjoy this guy in all sorts of constellations that are a little sinister, twisted, one sided, where he uses his body to some end, is subjugated, torments others, but also anything that's just dudes having sex, naval cruising and so on.
I love the carefree attitude he has towards his body and carnal urges and also enjoy all sorts of heavily kinky stuff. I like him bringing out the best and worst in others, a little devilish sleazy Prometheus that opens the eyes of the repressed.

And I just realized the exchange is not just about smut, Hickey just primes me that way. Since I NOTP Gibson I'm just not thinking much about genuine affection, but I'd also not find a story of partners in crime (Tozer, mutineers, Crozier even), who occasionally kiss cheeks, lacking. It's just the fluff part I struggle with.

Love the sort of very 70s thing that's going on with him which is equally very masculine and also a little camp and makes him stick out like a sore thumb in the Ndrengheta. The 70s were a great time because a guy could have a hairy chest and bulging muscles and wear make-up and a fruity glitter outfit and kiss boys and girls. Yes, he's my princess when he talks about the operatic drama and he's also the insufferably macho guy that fucking kills you. The range.
I have no specific preferences about his sexuality, I usually go with bi for convenience. I just wanna have fun rather than identity drama (would reeeeally suck to be gay in the mafia is all I'm saying) but you do as you please.

In general I like stuff that brings in the aspect of drugs, of the party scene in Rome but also Calabria, desolate mountain top cabins and so on. Just an all tongue and mustache kiss by the camp fire would satisfy my urges immensely. Teaching someone to shoot while breathing down their neck way too hard. You know, the little things. Or stuff that delves into topics of discrimination in Rome, alienation in Calabria.

What if he rode Enzo in that scene with him tied up? What if they fought and gored each other but it got sexual (you can go hard on the gore and squick, I don't mind)? What if he just had a good time with his goon(s). And what's going up with his Biondo, weird vibes between him and his "childhood friend" (I am okay with underage flashbacks, mentions etc in particular late teen).
Also what's going on with Nunzia, he was definitely making eyes at her and the way she treats him with the gasoline: hot! I would also be okay with explorations of their last scene and noncon (exception from my DNWs).
I'm also okay with more formalized bdsm stuff here but I can't stand performative levels of asking for consent unless its a plot/characterization point. Just don't make it too sad.
