Hello! Thanks for creating something for me and a disclaimer: everything except the DNWs is a kind suggestion. Do as you please, really, go nuts. I don't care how weird it gets, I welcome it.

When it comes to hurt versus comfort I'm fine with any focus. I like to see my faves suffering, I also like to see them tended to. It's just when we are getting into 10% hurt and 90% comfort that might be a little too close to straight up fluff for me. Especially if it's a situation where the previous hurt isn't really featured, for example 90% just cuddling for comfort after a traumatic event (and now everything is fine and comfortable indeed) does less for me than 90% the caretaker kissing a wound or 90% washing blood out of the hurt character's hair or 90% trying to have tender sex with him without pressing on all his bruises or 90% stitching up a wound or 90% carrying him to safety while he trembles and bites back tears.

The comfort also doesn't have to fix all their problems and they lived happily ever after. If the comfort is e.g. just a brief moment of relief in a miserable situation that is fine too.

H/C LIKES:

• slightly salacious/sadistic caretaking, like: oh, poor you, I feel so sorry for you but you also look kind of cute right now (feelings that the comforter is angsty about, is okay with or fully indulges in)
• comforter thinks injury/sickness is pretty/hot actually and that makes the hurtee feel better about himself 
• sexualized suffering
• stoic/repressed/in-control/domineering/strong characters meeting their limit and breaking point and the ensuing breakdown/meltdown

• since I get off on the strong character has a little breakdown trope I do like to see them strong before or in some way during it (e.g. physically broken but still full of snark)
• hurtee managing to hide his hurt from everyone except from the one who knows him so well/loves him so much that they can see through it
• wrestling specific: the intersection of real and performed pain in a match, wrestlers intentionally or unintentionally overstepping their opponent's boundaries in the ring, wrestlers selling fake injuries while hiding real injuries, wrestlers pushing on because they have to make it to the end of the match, the one who did the hurting checking in and taking care of the hurtee without betraying the act to the audience, the apologies afterwards, the hurtee assuring the hurter that it was totally fine (was it though?), possibly even ending up consoling the hurter over their emotional hurt (everyone suffers!), "it's all fake and it all hurts"

I didn't select the "both hurt" relationship because I picked a lot of freeforms where I want Punk to be the one going through it but mutual hurting from wrestling is always cute.

 

I am 0% interested in full kayfabe fic here. I like them as friends, as enemies in the ring that actually trust each other so deeply, I like Joe being stiff in the ring and Punk loving getting wrecked. I love everything about wrestling itself, ritualized violence and the trust and communication involved in it, the locker room habitat, the road trips, the backstage drama. Or in Punk's own words: "Bloody noses, finger biting, and face kicking like only two guys who love each other can do. Pure fuckin' romance."

 

Things that interest me: Manic pixie dream boyfriend Punk going through all the mood swings, acting bitchy, being actually very sensitive, anger issues, self-destructive behavior, repressed feelings, crying fits, Punk just wanting to be loved, really. Joe being there for him (even if he doesn't understand the extent of Punk's pain), calming him down, holding him down, taking care of him against his will until he likes it. Punk being assaulted in the ring (break of trust, dropping him in a bad spot, hitting him too stiffly, making him drink alcohol) and Joe coming to his rescue and/or dealing with the consequences. Punk's issues with drugs in particular relating to his dad's alcoholism. Punk trying to keep face and Joe either going along with that or clumsily ruining it all (calling him a sissy at the worst of times) and making things worse before making them better.

I do like kayfabe fic here except of course with "opponent betrays trust" which requires fake fights, but I am also always into shades of kayfabe grey. I love everything about Straight Edge Society Punk from the chest hair and nipple piercings to the dramatic slutty Jesus act, and in particular the way he is carried, held, protected and cared for by his (wo)men.

 

Things that interest me: Overly dramatic and very evil cult leader going through all the mood swings, self-destructive behavior, crying fits. Punk bossing his people around and Punk just wanting to be loved, really. The SES worshipping him physically after they carry him out of a lost battle, like when he got his head shaved and they came to his rescue and told him how pretty he still is (and the whole weird hair = purity angle). Punk holding hands with Serena, Punk being picked up and carried by Luke Gallows. Punk getting his wounds cleaned and stitched and worshipped, his psyche soothed and his ego flattered. Might a prostate massage help him calm down a bit?

Let's address the elephant in the room, I am rather fascinated with Punk's rise and fall in the WWE, in particular the whole mess of injuries, getting hurt by guys like Ryback, shitty medical care at WWE (from antibiotics making things worse to stapling him together like a old piece of furniture), Punk being pressured into working despite his injuries (would be a shame if someone else was pushed while you're out), forcing himself to work through them, because he is trying to prove that he can do it and be the number one, because WWE doesn't believe he can do it, because he has a victim and martyr complex. And then to top it all off there is the staph infection and antibiotics (dry heaving in the ring, vomiting as soon as he's backstage, looking like shit and knowing it, all the grossness of it)

 

All of this interests me in kayfabe or out of kayfabe or some space in between where Punk is the character we know but wrestling is fake and WWE is even more comically evil than it really is.

 

Don't care whether this mostly dwells on his misery or he does eventually get some relief, satisfaction and comfort. I selected some of the guys that were his friends at the time (Kofi) or that he liked (Dean), so those can be there for him, if he allows it, if they can handle him. Also Kofi gave Punk the clothesline that concussed him in the 2014 Royal Rumble and Dean was wrestling him when he had his little accident. And both of them could be looking up to Punk, which makes it cuter/spicier, they both have puppy dog energy in two different ways. Or if you want pick an OC (any gender) or any other wrestler that might fit the bill except Colt Cabana.

 

Bringing concussions into this is okay, but I'd prefer if it was more about the immediate physical effects, dizziness, irritability, anxiety, brief amnesia surrounding when exactly it happened, rather than any long term memory effects or anything like forgetting the names of loved ones, your pin code, how to do basic things or being unable to retain new information (see my DNWs).

I have simple needs, I want him hurt, looking cute, and her being strong and saving his ass or helping him cope. The freeforms should speak for themselves. I am also okay with something that is closer to Kimiko & Frenchie (as in parts of the show) as long as you don't pull any "they are family and they could never be a couple" stuff.

 

If you're an artist I'd love to see Frenchie bloody, bruised and belly out. Or carried bridal style by Kimiko.

There aren't enough moments in the canon where Watson gets to do doctor things and save Holmes' ass or simply take care of him and I want more! I'm also extra interested in seeing Holmes' barriers break down due to injury/poisoning/illness and if you want to write them shippy, that being the catalyst for romantic and physical attraction. I am mostly thinking of Holmes being pushed over a line here and losing his composure, because the way I read the canon Watson is already besotted. But I am also super happy with intense but platonic intimacy and love, or one sided attraction and all the trembling that comes with it in an intimate situation. I'd love to read weird Victorian/Edwardian medical practices, described in excruciating detail, but I'm also into handwaving realism and Holmes being simply affected by some mysterious fever or sex pollen disease (by the way if you do this, I am also fine with it if it doesn't lead to some great consummation of love and lust for them).

 

I'm generally super into the whole physical intimacy between them and making it feel intense: handholding, Holmes whispering in Watson's ears, maybe going a little further than the canon with hand kisses. None of this needs to lead anywhere romantic or sexual.
